Stella D’Oro Breakfast Cookies

I’ve loved these forever. Delicious as a compliment to morning tea or as a pick me up at work. I put them in a gallon storage bag and they are consistently fresh until ready to eat.

Best cookies ever.

I grew up with Stella D'oro Cookies and I am sad I can't find them in my local grocery stores anymore. But these are great and I'm thankful to be able to find them. Just wish Amazon carried my very favorite of all-the Annisette Sponge ones.

Stores do not carry anymore

Local grocery stores do not carry the Stella Doro Almond Toast any longer. Oddly, this is the flavor that was always low stock. The other just sit in the shelves. Bad move Stella Doro! Almond Toast is a favorite for dunking in the morning!

Not so fresh and expensive compared to the supermarket price

The product was hard and not as fresh as what I usually get in the supermarket . The price was higher as well but I was willing to pay that for the convenience of not running out to the store ,but not sure if I will do that again if the quality is not the same and have to pay a higher price.

TASTE

UNFORTUNATELY NONE OF THE STELLA D COOKIES THAT ARE MADE NOW TASTE LIKE THEY USED.SOMETHING IS MISSING. MAYBE THE LOVE THEY USED TO PUT IN THEM. SORRY

Cookies slightly stale… fresher when store bought…...also these cookies have bioengineered ingredients!

Good cookie after a long day, classic.

These are excellent cookies especially with cold milk there's not too much chocolate. It is a good mixture of both cookie and chocolate, not too sweet for the cookie. The chocolate's a little sweeter but by the time you're done dipping it in the milk you won't mind. They are hard to get in some areas but have been around for years.

Great price and wonderful taste for an old timey cookie.

I remember as a child in San Francisco my Aunty Minnie used to keep these on hand for visitors. I visited often and love the taste of these. When I started drinking coffee I enjoyed these. Many stores do not carry these on their shelves. I was happy to see Amazon carrying one of my favorite brand of cookies. I was surprised at the price and they still taste as good as they did years ago.

Cookies are good just too many are broken.

The stella d'oro cookies have arrived , in my last two orders, in broken pieces.Better care should be taken in the packaging for shipment since the package is tossed around and not handled carefully.I would appreciate it if more protective packaging is applied.

Bring back the original recipe

I wish they would bring back the original recipe!I don't know what it is but I can tell you it didn't taste as good. I remember the shortbread buttery taste would hit my taste buds as i chew then u start to taste a thick piece of fudge that u just bit through to taste that cookie in its entirety. A sad day has fallen upon me I'll eat them but just not that happy as I thought I would be.so I'll just go back to buying them in any Italian or Jewish bakery.What happened to stella d'oro?Bring back the original recipe on all of them please, they all don't taste right.your chocolate used to be one of the best chocolates.

Decent taste and texture, but a little bit lacking for the price

If the chocolate flavor was more prominent, I would be fully happy with these, but as I noted in the title, they don’t live up to the price because of the flavor, also the cookie portion is a bit bland, overall I would buy them again, but only on sale.

Awful...what happened?

They were awful. I used to love these cookies I haven't bought them in years. I bought them for a luncheon, they were so dry and crumbly and a fake sweetness taste the chocolate if you can call it that was like a rock and tasted terrible. What a shame, they were always a favorite if my family.
